Formerly known as Impact Project Foundation, Nkabom Initiative has been serving the community since 2022. Our mission has simply been to support grass-root and youth- led organizations with an added aim to explore intersectional approaches to health equity, sustainability, and community resilience
On January 10th, 2022, the Nkabom Initiative had the opportunity to visit the Save Them Young Orphanage. During our time there, we shared a nourishing meal with the children and engaged in meaningful conversations with the caregivers to better understand the organization's mission and the challenges they face. The visit offered us deep insight into the incredible work being done to provide a safe and nurturing environment for vulnerable children, as well as the critical areas where additional support is needed.
Some of the key needs we identified include the provision of school supplies to support the children’s education, sponsorships to help send more children to school, and assistance in completing a new residential building to accommodate the growing number of children in need of care.

On June 2nd, 2023, the Nkabom Initiative proudly contributed to the Ninson Hope Foundation by supporting the purchase of two solar streetlights for their ongoing Addeakrom community project. This donation was part of a larger effort to help illuminate the entire Addeakrom community—an essential step toward safety, accessibility, and development. Lighting up the village is not just about visibility; it represents security, extended hours for community activity, and a pathway to growth and opportunity.
”I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for your generous donation to help sponsor our Ninson’s Hope for Africa’s (NHFA) maiden trip. Your contribution has been instrumental in making our trip a success, and we are incredibly grateful for your support”
- Stephanie Ninson, Founder of NHFA
”Awukubee's Foundation (AF) writes to express its heartfelt appreciation to impact project foundation for providing us the opportunity to visit and interact with Koforidua school for the deaf and individuals with intellectual disability. The experience was truly eye-opening and your organizations tireless efforts to support and empower the vulnerable are truly commendable.”
- Georgina, Founder of AF
Since 2023, the Nkabom Initiative has proudly supported the Awukubee's Foundation in bringing its vision to life. From the early stages of conceptualization to its current community impact, we have offered ongoing mentorship, financial assistance, and strategic guidance to help the foundation grow and serve its mission. Led by a passionate and determined young woman, the Awukubee's Foundation is focused on creating access to resources for underserved and often overlooked groups, especially within the deaf and hard-of-hearing community in Ghana.
Through our collaborative efforts, the foundation has successfully donated projectors to the Mampong School for the Deaf, provided essential textbooks to NASKYE Presby Primary School, and contributed to the Tetteh Ocloo State School for the Deaf through the provision of food items and plastic chairs for student use. Our continued support has been instrumental in helping this youth-led initiative expand its reach and deepen its impact—fostering inclusion, education, and empowerment for communities that need it most.
